Happy October!

We had our first PTO meeting on Monday, October 5th.  We had great turnout, super dialog, ended on time, and socialized afterwords!  Highlights follow:
Classroom Parent Volunteer Opportunities: We’re looking for two volunteers from each classroom K/1, 2/3, and 4/5 to help out with this position this year.  It’s a lot for one person to take on coordination of food and gift cards for all of the great classroom events that take place.  So we thought two people could share the effort and ease the burden.  We are working to complete the calendar of events for the year by the end of this month to further ease this process and to make participation for parents easier.  If you are interested in volunteering as a classroom parent, please reach out to Bridget (bfweinert@gmail.com).
School Store: Liisa Zimmerman has been amazing in helping to coordinate the School Store this year.  We even have a pink t-shirt option!  Please be sure to return your order forms by October 9th.  The order form is attached for anyone who needs it.  Checks should be made out to Pinecroft PTO.
Halloween Parade: The Norton Halloween Parade will be held on October 24th.  We need volunteers!  Children and parents or supervisors willing to make noise, throw candy and have fun while driving down Main St. are required.  Additional opportunities include acquisition of candy and hay, and help setting up the ‘float’ the morning of the event.  Please contact Jenna (jhowe89@comcast.net) to sign up.  We really need your help.
Fall Cleanup: The fall cleanup and art show are being scheduled.  Tentative dates are November 8th for the cleanup and November 15th for the Art Show.
Razzle Dazzle Raffle: The Pinecroft Board of Directors identified a fun and exciting way for us to raise money for the annual fund.  This high stakes raffle will run from November through the holidays to raise money.  Details are being finalized and will be provided at our next PTO meeting, November 2nd.
Have a great day!
