While we’ve all come here for different reasons, we all leave with excitement about the experiences our children gain at Pinecroft. What we like about Pinecroft is not really the great student teacher ratio; it is the opportunity to develop a love for learning and enthusiasm for growth – socially, as learners, as part of society. We are confident that no matter the learning styles, our children will be well prepared to succeed in their future academic pursuits.
The goal of the Pinecroft Community Group is to enhance the overall school experience, enriching activities through parental involvement, and building a strong community support network.
Some 2011-2012 school activities include:
Winter Open House: A coordination between the school and parents, we hope to welcome prospective families to Pinecroft this Spring in our new home at 133 Tremont Street Rehoboth, MA .
Winter and Spring Programs: Hospitality coordinated and provided for by parents.
Winter Family Event: Plans are underway for a fun-filled afternoon of bowling.
Community Service: We are organizing a school based food drive to support the Rehoboth Food Pantry.
Pizza Days: This school year event takes place every Wednesday. Parents volunteer to set up and serve pizza to the Pinecroft students. A parent and student favorite!
Square 1 Art: This fundraiser allows students to create an original masterpiece. Parents volunteers organize this fundraiser and volunteer in the classrooms to help the students as needed.
Pizzeria UNO Dough Raiser: This fundraiser will take place in the winter of 2012. Children who dine in the restaurant will be able to make their own personal pizza. 15% of each check (dine-in or take-out) will be given back to The Pinecroft School.
